Tsukiji Church Anniversary and Malawian Coffee
Date:2024.07.01

On June 30, 2024, on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the founding of Tsukiji Church,
we had the privilege of participating, together with the non-profit organization Seibo Japan.

The Paris Mission conducted re-evangelization in Tokyo after the discovery of Christians in Nagasaki, with Tsukiji Church becoming one of its key centers.
The building was constructed with the assistance of a French legal scholar named Boissonade who came from France, and the church has maintained strong ties with the French community since then.

Through Tsukiji Church, we could see how churches play a very important role in society beyond their religious functions.
Additionally, we were able to confirm the identity of Japan’s Christians and the unique history they have contributed to Japan.

As Seibo Japan, an NPO connecting Malawi and Japan, we hope to continue growing while maintaining our identity as a Japanese organization.
Thank you for this valuable experience!
