Lecture at St. Dominic High School in Sendai
Date:2025.10.23

During the talk at Sendai’s Dominico Gakuin Junior and Senior High School, Seibo shared the importance of building relationships that protect and uphold human dignity—rather than seeing aid as a one-way act of giving.

Through the example of its school meal support program in Malawi, Seibo introduced its model of connecting “work” with “acts of love” by selling fair trade products such as coffee and tea, with all proceeds used to provide daily meals for children in Malawi.

For the students, the session offered a meaningful opportunity to reflect on how “working” and “learning” can become ways to serve and support others. In particular, the theme of vocation—based on Catholic teaching—encouraged them to consider how each person can live out their God-given mission through their daily actions and future professions, and to rediscover their own role within society.
