We had the opportunity to speak with students from the International Culture Department of Fukushima Minami High School and their group about the significance of school meals in Malawi and the importance of being involved in the coffee industry.
Many of the students were eager to engage in international activities and listened with great interest.
They were especially attentive when we discussed the history of Earl Grey tea, trade from the colonial era to the present, and current African industries.
We were deeply impressed by how the products we handle opened the students’ eyes to the wider world and how, through engaging with these products, they are already taking part in practical international support.
