On November 3, 2024, we had the opportunity to collaborate with the students of Veritas Kijohsei Junior and Senior High School in Osaka Prefecture.
At this school, we have been supporting their “Learning Forest” inquiry-based learning program, where Seibo collaborates with the students as an NPO to implement various projects.
Students from the first year of junior high school to the second year of senior high school freely exchanged ideas and worked together to develop and practice methods for selling donation-based products (such as coffee and tea) and soliciting donations.
As part of this process, students engaged in meaningful interactions with local individuals and discussions with fundraisers who are actively involved in the field, making it a fulfilling, hands-on activity.
One of the outcomes of their efforts was selling these products at their school festival.
As a result, they were able to provide support equivalent to approximately 3,600 school meals in Malawi!
We look forward to continuing to enhance the activities of the Learning Forest program in the future!
