Catholic Tosei High School, Junior High School, and Elementary School have joined hands with NPO Seibo to support school meal programs for children in Malawi, Africa. Through the sale of fair trade coffee and tea from Malawi, the students and staff contributed to providing meals for children in need.
The proceeds from this initiative will provide approximately 3,000 school meals for children in Malawi. These meals not only nourish the body but also help children attend school with peace of mind and build the foundation for learning and hope for the future.
Through this activity, participants experienced firsthand that “purchasing can be an act of supporting someone’s life and future.” They also deepened their understanding of fair trade and global poverty issues.
This initiative beautifully reflects the Catholic spirit of connecting the world through prayer and action, as the entire Tosei Gakuen community came together to make a difference.
NPO Seibo will continue to work with schools and local communities across Japan to deliver warm meals—and hope—to children in Malawi.
