“Sunny Festa,” held at Kobe Harborland Space Theater, is an energetic event driven primarily by junior high, high school, and university students brought together through an initiative by Co-op Kobe. It is designed to empower young people to turn their passion—”We want to do this!”—into reality.
At this event, NPO Seibo participated and hosted a booth under the “Warm Hearts Kobe Project,” an initiative launched by volunteer students from Marist Brothers International School.
1. Enthusiastic Collaboration with High School Students Centered in Kobe
On the day of the event, booth operations and activities were carried out not only by students from Marist Brothers International School, but also together with many high school students and young people centered around Kobe.
It was deeply inspiring to witness students from different schools and regions come together, passionately sharing the significance of their respective activities with visitors in their own words.
The proactive outreach and warm smiles of the young participants created a welcoming atmosphere throughout the venue, leading to meaningful dialogue and interaction with many attendees.
2. Achieving Results Equivalent to Approximately 800 School Meals
At the “Warm Hearts Kobe Project” booth, charity initiatives were carried out using “Warm Hearts Coffee Club”—a donation-based coffee project supporting Malawi.
Thanks to the dedicated efforts of the high school students and the warm support of the visitors, we successfully raised funds equivalent to approximately 800 school meals for children in Malawi through this event.
For children, school meals not only support healthy growth through proper nutrition but also serve as a strong incentive to attend school.
The impactful result driven by the initiative and action of high school students in Kobe will directly fuel a brighter future for children in Malawi.
Summary and Gratitude
The initiative of the “Warm Hearts Kobe Project”—where the younger generation independently raised questions about social issues and took action in the practical setting of a community event—serves as an ideal model for future inquiry-based learning and international cooperation.
We express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who visited our booth, the event organizers and staff, and all the high school students who worked side by side with us.
NPO Seibo will continue to support the aspirations of young people and expand the circle of sustainable international support.
