Celebrating 10 Years: Delivering 22,000 Daily Meals to Schoolchildren
This year marks a major milestone for Seibo: our 10th anniversary!
What started in 2016 as a small feeding project at a nursery school in Malawi has grown, thanks to the overwhelming generosity of our supporters, into a program that provides around 22,000 school meals every single day to children in nursery and primary schools across Malawi.

High-Efficiency, Community-Based Operations Driven by 7 Local Staff
Our on-the-ground operations are led by seven dedicated Malawian staff members.
Working closely with local nursery schools, primary schools, and parents, they eliminate unnecessary overhead and maintain transparent, trustworthy operations.
Public Trust & Sustainable Social Business Model
We pursue a sustainable aid model that doesn’t rely solely on donations. This includes constructing school kitchens utilizing grants from the Japanese Government (Ministry of Foreign Affairs / Embassy of Japan in Malawi) and running a social business through the sale of fair trade Malawian coffee.
How School Meals Change Children’s Futures
In Malawi, one of the poorest nations in the world, many children miss school or drop out due to hunger.
The fortified porridge Seibo provides—known as Likuni Phala, made from maize and soybeans enriched with essential vitamins and minerals—serves as crucial nutrition. Just as importantly, knowing “There is a warm meal at school!” becomes a powerful motivation to attend class.
The provision of school meals has dramatically boosted school attendance rates, helping create an environment where children can stay in school and complete their education.
