This year marks an important milestone for Seibo Japan. It’s been 10 years since we began supporting school meals in Malawi in partnership with you! To mark the occasion, we held “Friday in Malawi” on the 25th of September.
The event drew 74 guests, including representatives of donor companies and educational institutions, individual donors, Seibo’s board members and Seibo student volunteers. Those in attendance told us it was a “gathering of kind people” and “the atmosphere & venue were amazing” as well as “being able to interact with people from Malawi was a precious opportunity”. In short, it was a great Friday night “in Malawi”!

We are truly thankful to Salesforce Japan for providing the venue.
We were also honoured by the attendance of two representatives from the Embassy of the Republic of Malawi in Japan: Mr. Dyson Constance Msungeni, Investment and Trade Attaché, and Ms. Beatrice Nyengo Kasakatira, Counsellor. They delivered the opening speech, ran the charity raffle, and also contributed Malawian prizes on the day.

Of course, we are also grateful to everyone who attended.
Together, event tickets, merchandise sales, and raffle ticket purchases raised enough to fund about 30,000 school meals in Malawi!

Once again, thank you on behalf of the children of Malawi, and a special thanks to the companies that supported us with raffle prizes and to everyone who helped run the event on the day.

This year we welcomed representatives from 18 companies, 7 international NPOs and organisations, and 2 educational institutions.
