A school meal varies greatly from country to country. Seibo’s school feeding which is supported by your kind donations provides a porridge- like food called “Phala” at schools and nurseries in Malawi.
A maize and soya-flour mix- it’s official name “Likuni Phala” is recommended by the UN World Food Programme – the mix contains vital vitamins and nutrients for a child’s development. We provide each child with 100 grammes at each sitting.
As a meal it might not sound as enticing as the next meal you or I will enjoy next but it is vital to continue to provide children with this school meal. Not feeding a child is simply not an option.
