In September 2021 an online event was held that connected students of Hyuga Gakuin High School in Miyazaki Prefecture, Japan with the team running school feeding at Seibo Malawi, Chilomoni, Malawi, Africa!
The students at Hyuga Gakuin have contributed to Seibo’s work in Malawi through the hosting of charity coffee events in July where they raised donations for Malawi through sales of Warm Hearts Coffee Club coffee- for which we and the children of Malawi are hugely thankful!
The students used the experience in July to further their knowledge and awareness on issues of Fair Trade, Poverty & International Cooperation while also taking actions that directly impact our world positively. To read more about the events in July click HERE!
The Seibo team in Malawi, led by the talented Talitha, were also delighted to be able to share views on issues affecting our world with the students at Hyuga Gakuin and all participants enjoyed the real-time interaction. It is our hope that we can continue to connect Malawi & Japan through similar projects in the future and we thank all at Hyuga Gakuin for taking the lead!
