Salesio Polytechnic(Salesio Kosen), located in Tamasakai, celebrated its 90th anniversary in the 2025 academic year. A commemorative ceremony was held on January 31, 2026, at which we had the honor of providing coffee, tea, and chocolate from Malawi.

January 31 also marks the feast day of Don Bosco, the founder of the Catholic Salesian Order, which is the parent organization of Ikuei Gakuin, the institution that operates Salesio Kosen.

In Malawi as well, there is a Don Bosco Technical College. Under the same name of “Don Bosco,” an important institution exists that enables adults to acquire practical skills and support their families.

In Malawi, it is especially important that children receive school meals to improve their nutrition, pursue their education, and eventually secure stable employment as part of a continuous pathway. Seibo, which supports school feeding programs, is deeply honored to have been able to take part in this 90th anniversary celebration.

On this occasion, we also provided chocolate sourced from a chocolate farm in northern Malawi to distinguished guests and related participants. This was our first opportunity to handle small-sized chocolates, and many people enjoyed them as an accompaniment to coffee and as gifts.
