On January 6, 2026, Yamada, the representative of the NPO Seibo, visited Mawa Farm, located in Chitipi near Lilongwe, the capital of Malawi.

At this farm, visitors can see crops that are grown using 100% organic farming methods. The farm also offers hands-on tours, harvesting experiences, and opportunities to purchase agricultural products.

Mawa Farm operates as an agritourism business, attracting many visitors who come to learn stable and reliable organic farming techniques—something still relatively rare in Malawi.

The farm also collaborates with a nearby university, and interns from science-related departments visit regularly.

Since NPO Seibo is also involved with food through school lunch programs, this visit was particularly meaningful and informative. Looking ahead, Seibo hopes that its interns and volunteers who are interested in agriculture and food will also have the opportunity to visit this farm in the future.
