On October 17th, 2025, NPO Seibo delivered a lecture on Social Business at Otemon Gakuin University.
The session focused on Seibo’s school meal support for children in Malawi, exploring the theme of “sustainable social contribution beyond donations and fair trade.”
During the class, a Seibo student staff member took the stage to share about their six years of involvement with Seibo and spoke about the organization’s overall work to support school meals in Malawi.
This was the first time that a student staff member gave a lecture at a university.
The student shared a variety of experiences—from interpreting for international supporters, collaborating with companies to create social impact, designing lessons for schools, engaging in fundraising, and promoting Malawian coffee through marketing activities.
Each story reflected the real and diverse ways that students can contribute to global social change.
The audience of university students showed great interest in the talk, especially in the personal experiences shared directly by a fellow student.
Through this meaningful exchange, we once again realized that Seibo’s activities are not only about providing support but also about creating a place of learning and growth where young people can connect with society through action.
