In October 2024, Kaori Nouvelle Junior and Senior High School in Kori-en, Osaka Prefecture, held a Malawi coffee sales event for the first time! The school is affiliated with the Holy Mother Academy, which shares a connection with our organization, Seibo. The volunteer group of students who participated in this initiative is named ‘Karashidane,’ inspired by the idea that small mustard seeds can grow into significant strength, echoing the biblical concept. Reflecting on the power of a 15 yen breakfast in Malawi, their name embodies this transformative potential.

True to their name, members of ‘Karashidane’ have made a substantial impact in Malawi. We plan to continue our collaborative activities with the school in the coming years. Together, we aim to nurture seeds of change that grow into mighty trees, transforming our world.
