At NPO Seibo, we are collaborating with students from Kobe Jyogakuin to promote fair trade through Malawian coffee and tea.
On-campus Initiatives
Inspired by their volunteer experiences at the Expo, the students are engaging in project proposals and event management.
-Hosting café events
-Selling via food trucks
-Trial tastings
Through these activities, the students are not only “selling products,” but also deepening their understanding of the background of fair trade and the broader social issues involved. Ultimately, they aim to establish on-campus sales of coffee and tea.
Activities at the Osaka Expo – Malawi Pavilion
The students also played an active role in the Malawi Pavilion at the Osaka Expo.
-Explaining the fair trade coffee and tea supported by Seibo
-Sharing Malawi’s history and culture with visitors
These opportunities allowed the students to directly engage with visitors, conveying the significance of fair trade and school meal support.
Connecting through Social Media
