On November 7, 2026, Seibo had the distinct honor of participating in the very first gathering hosted by the Japan Family Development Association (JAFDA). This milestone event brought together families living in Japan, primarily centered around Tokyo, for an afternoon of community and connection. We are deeply grateful and honored to have been invited to this inaugural event.

JAFDA is the Japanese branch of the International Federation for Family Development (IFFD), an international organization registered as a consultative status organization with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), dedicated to promoting the vital importance of family life. (You can learn more about them here).

Seibo was invited to participate as an NGO supporting children and their families in African nations through our school feeding programs in Malawi. During the presentation, we shared the critical importance of school meals in Malawi, the positive impact that providing breakfast has on local families, and concluded by serving our specialty Malawian coffee to the attendees. Furthermore, a high school student volunteer participating with Seibo joined the event to introduce the ongoing initiatives being carried out at their school.

It was a deeply meaningful and successful event that fostered wonderful connections across generations. Thank you so much to JAFDA for inviting us and providing such a precious opportunity!
