A Nursery in Northern Malawi that offers free education to 47 children is at risk of closing due to the lack of water. The community organisation who run the nursery already provide the school fees for young mothers to get an education while their children are taken care of. They have no water- not even dirty water. There is a well 3kms away but who can carry enough water on a 2-hr journey of 6kms return?
The organisation have numerous income-generating activities- baking, sewing, teaching, etc but the cost of a deep year-round water well is beyond their capacity.
We Can Help KAZOMBA
How? All Donations raised between now and the end of February will be sent to Malawi. We are aiming for a BIG WIN. We want to make a change to the lives of the people in this community and we want to do it with your help.
KAZOMBA NEEDS OUR HELP NOW
We need to sink a borehole before the water table changes. Only boreholes drilled in the dry season will work year-round. The rainy season can begin any time in December so it’s important we drill before then. Your 1,000 yen will make all the difference. CLICK HERE to donate.
A CHRISTMAS GIFT FROM THE COMMUNITY
Led by the energetic Lexah Harrison (that’s her in the video!) this local community organisation take no pride in begging. Their role is usually the provider- they support young mothers and look after over 870 kids with their children’s corner activities- all on a volunteer basis. But they need water to continue the nursery.
AS A THANK YOU
To thank you for your kindness Lexah’s group have hand-made a unique GIFT FOR YOU- a cup-holder or coaster made from local “chitenje” cloth which we will send to anyone who donates 1,000 yen or more along with a 100 gm pack of either Malawian Tea or Coffee.
To donate simply CLICK HERE and make sure to let us know your preference (Coffee Beans/Coffee Ground/ Earl Grey Tea/Black Tea) and your postal address.
