Seibo Joins “Kansai Supports GREEN×EXPO 2027 Day” — Bridging Expo Legacies and Empowering the Next Generation Through Malawian Coffee & Tea
On September 12 and 13, NPO Seibo hosted a booth at the “Kansai Supports GREEN×EXPO 2027 Day” event. Thanks to everyone who visited and purchased our Malawian coffee and tea, all proceeds raised will go directly toward funding approximately 3,300 school meals for children in Malawi!

The event was brought to life with the passionate support of student volunteers, including youth staff who were active at the Osaka Expo as well as high school students from across the Kansai region. It proved to be a wonderful opportunity to pass down the Expo legacy to future generations and serve as a bridge leading up to GREEN×EXPO 2027 in Yokohama.

Looking ahead to the Yokohama Expo, the Embassy of Malawi plans to promote sustainable initiatives centered around the theme of agriculture and the key concept of “Green.” During the event, Seibo had the honor of delivering a presentation on stage. We shared how Malawian coffee, grown through natural cultivation, is capturing attention in Japan’s specialty coffee market, and highlighted how local tea estates with over a century of rich history have successfully harmonized business with environmental conservation.

We also highlighted how Seibo—with students taking a central role—promotes these natural blessings across Japan as fair products. By reinvesting the proceeds back into local communities through school meal support, we create a sustainable cycle that empowers the future. This approach closely mirrors the core vision of the Yokohama Expo.

Seibo remains committed to expanding these meaningful activities, building lasting connections for the next generation across both the African continent and Japan.
