At the end of 2021 we held a collaboration event with Tokyo-based creative agency ‘Scope’. As part of their own initiatives to raise awareness of FairTrade and environmental issues, Seibo were invited to showcase Malawian coffee. As regular readers are aware our coffee business embodies the principles of FairTrade, with all proceeds being donated to support school meals in Malawi.
The event which took place in Scope’s office included a coffee making demonstration. We opted make the coffee ‘pour-over’ style which tends to bring out the depth of Malawian coffee. The staff and all participants thoroughly enjoyed and benefitted from the experience, and we had to field a lot of questions at the end ranging from the history of Malawi to stories from the coffee growers in Malawi’s uplands.
We wish to thank all at Scope for the invitation to collaborate and for their support in helping to change our world for the better. Let’s do it again!
