Malawi Coffee in School Information Session
Date:2023.09.13

In the non-profit organization Seibo, we collaborate with educational institutions, ranging from elementary schools to university corporations, in inquiry-based learning and extracurricular activities.

Through Malawi, we learn about global isues especially about poverty, then proceed to contemplate practical ways of providing support. This involves implementing supports through projects and products such as coffee. This activity is ongoing, and we maintain communication with local communities even after providing support, ensuring sustainability and paving the way for future activities.

This time, one of our charity partner schools, Koen Girls’ Academy High School, highlighted our activities during a school presentation.

Branding Activies by Students
We connect the brand of the Warm Hearts Coffee Club with the students’ academic achievements and the founding spirit of the school by engaging in branding or co-branding initiatives with Warm Hearts Coffee Club. During the school presentation, an example of this branding effort and the creation of actual coffee label designs were introduced.

Visits to Corporate Donars and Companies supporting us
Furthermore, students have the opportunity to learn about the behind-the-scenes aspects of the Warm Hearts Coffee Club brand and the business management system by listening to their actual words and passions from related and supporting companies.

Through this, students can gain insights into how the construction of a business model that gives back to society when they enter the workforce is driven by the thoughts and interests of various stakeholders.

Based on this social foundation, I believe that comprehensive education can be achieved by combining ethics, politics and economics, and, in the case of mission schools, religion. Koen Girls’ High School is currently implementing such learning through an optional seventh-period special class at the school.

This class has around 40 students, making it a relatively large-scale program, and its title is ‘Let’s Experience NPO Activities.’ Moving forward, Seibo will continue to create such opportunities and deliver the culture of charity through the story of school meal support!”
