At Oomichi Junior High School in Katsushika Ward, Seibo was invited to give a career talk.
During the session, we explained in an easy-to-understand way—especially for students hearing about this for the first time—what kind of work an NPO does, how people make a living in this field, and why we chose to start nonprofit activities in addition to regular work. We approached these topics from various angles to make them accessible for junior high school students.
When talking about why Japan supports Malawi and the significance of this connection, we also introduced how our NPO operates through international collaboration among the UK, Malawi, and Japan. We believe this gave students new and meaningful insights.
Although working for an NPO is not yet a familiar career path in Japan, we hope to continue sharing the reality of NPOs that generate sustainable revenue and reinvest it back into society—and to inspire more young people to see this as a viable and impactful profession.
