Thanks to your warm and generous support, we were able to deliver a significant number of school meals to children in Malawi throughout March.
In addition to our efforts on the ground, our awareness and educational activities through coffee sales continue to expand across Japan.
In this report, we share the voices from the school feeding sites in Malawi and highlight our recent activities.During March 2026, we provided a total of 315,570 meals, supporting 20,230 children.
Key Achievements and Activities
・Maintaining High Attendance Rates:
The overall attendance rate reached approximately 89%. School meals serve as a powerful incentive for children to come to school and engage in learning.
・Establishing Hygiene and Life Habits:
Handwashing before meals has become a daily routine. This practice is fostering health awareness and disciplined behavior among the children.
・Promoting International Exchange:
Visits from JICA volunteers created valuable opportunities for children to experience different cultures and broaden their horizons.
・Community-Led Operations:
Even under challenging conditions, local volunteers have maintained a stable and consistent supply of school meals through their dedicated daily preparation.
