School Feeding Report in February 2024
Date:2024.03.29

Seibo continues to provide meals to elementary schools in the north and kindergartens in the south in April 2024. Additionally, the growth of “Seibo Kids,” who are eligible for scholarships in the southern region, has been measured and recorded. By sharing the results and photos, we aim to provide donors with updates on meal support in the local communities.

In Seibo’s meal support program, the same porridge is provided at all locations, ensuring it meets the nutritional needs outlined by the United Nations World Food Programme.

Kazengo Elementary School

Kazengo Elementary School, supported by Seibo in the northern region, is one of the larger schools. Meals are provided by volunteers from the PTA and mothers’ association.

Chamngulube Elementary School

Located in the Chikondawonga village, Chamngulube Elementary School is one of the most remote schools, about 8 kilometers away from the center of Mzimba. Previously, cases of children dropping out of school were prominent, but meal support has led to an increase in students attending school until graduation.

Mzimba Elementary School

Seibo’s meals provide the energy for children to participate in school activities such as classes, and meal support has improved attendance rates at Mzimba LEA. Children are delighted to meet Seibo’s team and learn where their meals come from. Some children enthusiastically shout “Seibo!” in front of the camera.

The female cooks who prepare meals for the children take the time to visit the school and volunteer to cook meals for the children. They take joy in assisting Seibo’s meal support program, which contributes to the healthy growth of children, and hope for its continued support.

Kabuku Elementary School

Kabuku Elementary School is one of the remote schools in Mzimba, and children have to walk quite a long distance to get to school. However, they are encouraged by the meals provided at school and attend school daily.
